Bob Cole Returns Boxing Day!

i know a lot of people responded to my Bob Cole thread the other day and most people were in favour of Bob Cole>Jim Hughson.

 

I am happy to report that Bob Cole will return to Toronto for the ONLY time this season on December 26th for the Leafs vs Habs game.

 

I heard this about 15 minutes ago on "After the Horn- Leaf Talk" with Andy Frost.

Mike "In Buffalo" calls in after every game and gives his 2 cents.

That is how EK found him.

 

Mike is actually a pretty cool dude with a TON of Leaf/Hockey knowledge, his rant today was pretty much how some other caller said that "Mike in Buffalo should be happy because Blake scored tonight and that it pretty much Mike's christmas present."

 

Mike has a big hate for Blake and stated "A christmas present for me would be him picking up his scoring by about 10 in the next few weeks and having some foolish team pick up his contract"

 

Also...a few years back when Andy Frost used to do the post game show in the concorse of the ACC....Mike in Buffalo was on the show live with Andy and had a bunch of people coming up and asking for Mikes Autograph and snubbing Andy. Mr. Frost got a kick out of this and talks about it sometimes.

 

 

ps: i call listen to the show probably 40 out of the 82 game skid and try to call in about 4 or 5 times a season.

Second only to Danny Gallivan in the history of broadcasters of NHL hockey in Canada.  No other announcer in my opinion comes even close for third place down.  I know a lot of you like Joe Bowen or Gord Miller but they even don't come close.

I miss watching Andy Frost after the game on LeafsTV.. I think it's funny when some guy calls on the show, makes a dumb trade idea. Frost hits the button and goes to another caller lol.. He is one guy I would love to sit down with and pick his brain about the world of hockey.

Doppel I actually forgot about the late Dan Kelly.  Yes he was was one of the greats.  I guess I got caught up in the current crop of broadcasters.
