Re: Why the Leafs are so hard to follow...

Look up the roster in 92 and 93 and 2002. Those are the reasons I cannot fall in love with the players we have.  It just isn't the same.  There was some emotional players on those teams, the Clarks, Gilmours, Tuckers, Roberts'... I bet if you ask 10 different people who our emotional leader is you might get 10 different answers.. Lupul? Grabovski? ...Gunnarsson?

Different era though too.

I think the game of hockey has lost a bit of the emotion it once had. The scorers score, the checkers check, the fighters fight.

We have less guys in the game who do a little bit of all those things----which I think you are saying you miss.

GO LEAFS GO

OK

I have to bust you because you are coming off as someone who is deliberately trying to be overly positive just to keep the wolves at bay!

Don't be a negative doom-and-gloomer!

you just summed up what the rest of us have been thinking..! the Leafs are again a real head scratcher..play great against tougher teams and crap the bed against teams "we should beat"...what i think this team really needs and soon is to string together a few wins..get on a decent winning streak and move up a spot or two in the standing..momentum is a scary thing..it can get teams to play better than the skill they actually have..if the players continue to listen and buy into what Carlyle is preaching then this year will be different from the last 7...i am QUIETLY OPTIMISTIC....! shh

Nervously optimistic for me.......Have started  watching the standings but cant get that "18 wheeler over the cliff thing" out of my mind...
